Goat - Our Lawn Mower

title Goat - Our Lawn Mower

Lawn Mower

Ecovacs Goat G1After having a Robomow RS615 for years, there were recently problems with the detection of the boundary wire. The hedge was also growing towards the lawn, causing a nuisance over the course of the year. The new robotic lawn mower was therefore purchased. It provides guidance with cameras and battery-powered beacons. Due to the high hedge and several trees, a robotic lawnmower with RTK was ruled out. The garage described below was built so that the little robot doesn't have to stand in the rain.

Steuerung

Sonoff DualThe blinds are controlled using a >Sonoff Dual Wi-Fi Module. It has two relays that can be used to open and close the blinds. This can be time-controlled, offering the function of a normal blind timer. You can also use the Android or iOS app to operate the blind in the WLAN or query its status. Control in the browser or smart home is possible via Home Assist integration.

The alternative firmware >ESPurna offers more functions like MQTT or web interface.

Reset

Goat ResetIf the Goat only shows Ecovacs on the display and no longer responds, you can reset it by pressing the OK, Play & Home buttons simultaneously for several seconds. A sound signal is emitted to confirm.
